It was getting dark as you can see. The sun was going down really fast but I didn’t want to miss any opportunity.
We were on the way home from Redlands to Los Angeles. We didn’t take the usual and faster route, but the scenic and longer one. We wanted to explore some more of California.
I asked to stop along one of the highways because I saw the sun rays through a chain of mountains, but by the time we could actually stop and get out of the car, the moment was gone.
Instead, came another moment, with beautiful flowers backlit by the sun.
The sunflowers had light on the them from most directions but I wanted to capture something unique. I got my camera settings to capture the light of the sun leaving the flower mostly silhouetted.
This sunflower (literally) will forever remind of our lovely ride home after visiting friends and family in Redlands.
